A veteran Army Officer specializing in defense innovation, technology, and private investment, with an MS from Stanford and extensive experience integrating advanced solutions into national security.

Chief Executive Officer & Co-Founder

Andy Yakulis serves as the CEO and co-founder of Vector, the nation’s next-generation Managed Defense Service Provider. A seasoned leader with 18 years of service as an Army Officer and Special Operations Commander, Andy has built a career at the intersection of defense technology, innovation, and private investment, bridging advanced solutions with U.S. national security needs.

Throughout his military career, Andy led tactical combat operations and worked to integrate cutting-edge technology into the Department of Defense. He also collaborated with private capital to drive investments in defense technology. As a pilot-in-command and air mission commander, he holds the FAA’s highest commercial aviation rating, the Helicopter Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certification, with extensive experience piloting both military and civilian aircraft.

Andy earned a Master of Science in Management as a Sloan Fellow at Stanford Graduate School of Business, focusing on technology innovation and venture capital. He also co-founded the health tech startup Medeloop.ai, scaling operations to secure initial customers and raise millions in venture funding. Additionally, he holds a Master of Arts in Defense and Strategic Studies from the Naval War College, where he represented the U.S. Army in an elite international officer program.

A graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point with a Bachelor of Science in Geospatial Information Science, Andy was a Division I lacrosse athlete and a four-year varsity letterman.

Matt Long

CSO and Co-Founder

Retired Navy SEAL Team Leader, Silver Star recipient, and expert in tactical consulting and leadership, with experience advising corporate teams and special operations units.

Chief Strategy Officer and Co-Founder

Matt Long is the Chief Strategy Officer and co-founder of Vector. A retired U.S. Navy SEAL Team Leader with 20 years of distinguished service, Matt’s career includes roles at Naval Special Warfare Development Group (DEVGRU), where he led hundreds of combat operations, including high-profile hostage rescues. His service has been recognized with numerous awards, including a Silver Star and multiple Bronze Stars with Valor.

Following his military career, Matt founded Long Range Solutions LLC, a tactical consulting firm that applies battlefield-tested strategies to enhance the capabilities of law enforcement, private security firms, and special operations units. He has also led leadership and team-building initiatives with professional sports teams and corporate management groups.

Matt has worked as a contractor for various government agencies, with extensive experience in some of the most dynamic and significant battlefields of modern warfare. He also holds a Master’s degree in Organizational and Strategic Leadership.

George Matus is the CTO and co-founder of Vector, where he focuses on delivering tomorrow’s technology to warfighters today. A pioneering innovator, George began developing novel drone technologies in high school, founding Teal with a vision for American-made unmanned aerial systems.

Over a decade, George scaled Teal into one of America’s leading drone manufacturers, winning the U.S. Army’s Short Range Reconnaissance Program of Record. Teal was later acquired by Red Cat Holdings, cementing George’s reputation as a visionary in the defense tech sector.

George is a Peter Thiel Fellow and Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree and has been recognized by TIME magazine as one of the 30 most influential teens in America. He holds over 20 granted patents and has been credited as one of the youngest executives to lead a public company and win a U.S. defense program of record.

Larsen Jensen

Larsen Jensen is the founder and managing partner of Harpoon Ventures, a venture capital firm based in San Diego specializing in early-stage technology companies. His unique career path includes remarkable achievements in both athletics and finance, underpinned by a commitment to excellence and innovation.

A two-time Olympic medalist in swimming (2004 and 2008) and holder of the American record in the 400m freestyle, Larsen also served as a U.S. Navy SEAL for six years after completing SEAL BUD/S training. He later earned an MBA from Stanford University, furthering his expertise in business and technology.

Larsen’s venture capital journey includes roles at Andreessen Horowitz and Lightspeed Venture Partners before founding Harpoon Ventures in 2018. He remains actively engaged with Vector, playing a pivotal role in bringing the founding team together and supporting the company’s mission to deliver transformative defense technology.
