Vector and Nammo Defense Systems Inc. Expand Teaming Agreement – Accelerating Unmanned Systems Kinetic Integration Capabilities for American and Allied Warfighters

Vector

BLUFFDALE, UTAH/MESA, ARIZONA – Vector, a modern warfare-as-a-service company, and Nammo Defense Systems Inc., a global leader in advanced defense manufacturing, announced today the signing of an expansion of their teaming agreement to accelerate the delivery of unmanned systems kinetic integration capabilities for American and allied warfighters.

Earlier this year, the two companies announced their collaboration to combine Nammo’s expertise in advanced ammunition and energetics with Vector’s growing family of unmanned systems and warfighter-focused products. Building on that work, the expanded teaming agreement strengthens the companies’ cooperation across the integration, production, and delivery of American-made unmanned systems equipped with allied-manufactured munitions and supported by National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA)-compliant supply chains.

‍

The expanded agreement is designed to help close a growing capability gap for small, unmanned aircraft systems that can be produced at scale and fielded with integrated kinetic effects. By bringing together Vector’s manufacturing, integration, and software capabilities with Nammo’s expertise in ammunition and energetic systems, the companies are working to provide warfighters with a more complete, production-ready solution for employing unmanned systems across a range of operational environments.

‍

“The battlefield is demanding unmanned systems that can do more than simply carry a payload. They need to be designed, integrated, tested, and produced around the realities of how warfighters will employ them,” said Andy Yakulis, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Vector. “Our expanded teaming agreement with Nammo brings together two highly complementary capabilities to accelerate that process. We are focused on giving American and allied warfighters access to reliable, kinetically integrated systems that can be produced at scale and continuously improved based on real-world requirements.”

‍

Working together, Vector and Nammo have already advanced the integration of a suite of Nammo munitions with Vector’s High Voltage Electronic Safe Arm Device (HV-ESAD), creating a pathway for electronically controlled, kinetically integrated effects across Vector’s unmanned systems. The HV-ESAD provides the critical interface between the aircraft and its kinetic payload, enabling the safe integration and controlled employment of compatible munitions while maintaining the modularity and production approach central to Vector’s unmanned systems.

‍

The companies’ work is focused on developing a repeatable integration architecture that can accommodate multiple munition configurations and support the rapid adaptation of unmanned systems as warfighter requirements evolve. This approach combines Vector’s experience designing and manufacturing attritable unmanned systems with Nammo’s expertise in energetics, fuzing, ammunition, and scalable defense production.

‍

“This expanded agreement will benefit warfighters defending freedom globally,” said Nammo Defense Systems Inc. President and General Manager, Andy Schreiner. “By combining Nammo’s proven expertise in munitions, energetics, and advanced manufacturing with Vector’s unmanned systems capabilities, we are bringing together complementary strengths to accelerate the development and production of integrated solutions that can evolve with warfighter requirements.”

‍

The expanded teaming agreement also establishes a foundation for the companies to support American and allied requirements for unmanned systems that combine domestic production with trusted allied components. As the Department of War and its partners continue to prioritize mass, resilience, interoperability, and the rapid integration of emerging technologies, Vector and Nammo are positioned to help deliver systems that connect the platform, payload, and production ecosystem into a single operational capability.
