Vector Earns Phase III Selection for U.S. SOCOM Modular Kinetic Drone Program

Vector

BLUFFDALE, UT – Vector, a modern warfare-as-a-service company, today announced its selection for Phase III of the U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) Modular Kinetic Drone (MKLD) program. The selection advances Vector's work to deliver modular, attritable unmanned systems that give Special Operations Forces adaptable precision-strike capability across a range of operational environments.

‍

The Phase III selection adds to a growing record of performance with U.S. Special Operations Forces. Vector was recently named a top performer in the Close-Quarters Battle segment of the Department of War's Drone Dominance Program following the Gauntlet II flyoff, earning orders for 5,000 systems and Vector’s high-voltage electronic safe and arm device (HV-ESAD) solution. The company is also a multi-year capability provider to USSOCOM, delivering unmanned systems, integration and broader capability support for America’s most elite warfighters.

‍

"Special Operations Forces operate at the leading edge of the fight and require systems that can keep pace with rapidly changing operational demands," said Andy Yakulis, Co-Founder and CEO of Vector. "Our relationship with SOCOM reflects a shared focus on speed, adaptability and delivering meaningful capability to the people who use it. We'll continue working closely with our nation’s elite special operators to turn their requirements and lessons learned into systems that give them an advantage in the field."

Vector’s MKLD solution gives small tactical units a flexible, modular kinetic capability that can be tailored to mission requirements and deployed across urban and outdoor environments. The solution incorporates Vector’s High-Voltage Electronic Safe & Arm Device (HV-ESAD), improving safety and reliability of kinetic payload employment while enabling integration across Vector’s unmanned platforms. Built around Vector’s focus on attritable systems, modular, open architecture, rapid iteration, and operational feedback, the MKLD solution is designed to give operators greater reach and precision while reducing exposure to risk.

‍

The MKLD selection builds on Vector’s broader portfolio of systems developed for contested and complex environments, including compact unmanned platforms, resilient control architectures and modular kinetic capabilities. Vector’s HV-ESAD, alongside its unmanned systems and control technologies, reflects the company’s approach to developing integrated capabilities that address the full requirements of modern tactical operations.

‍

Vector remains focused on supporting USSOCOM by expanding the capabilities, production capacity and operational support needed to deliver next-generation unmanned systems to American warfighters. Through continued collaboration with our nation’s special operators, Vector is translating operational requirements and feedback into mission-ready systems designed for the realities of modern combat.
