BLUFFDALE, UT – Vector, a modern warfare as-a-service provider, announced today that its Longbow platform received both Blue UAS Cleared and Green UAS Cleared Certification following independent third-party assessment and a rigorous vetting process through the Association for Uncrewed Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI).
Developed in close partnership with Overhead Intelligence, a Florida based research and development firm specializing in autonomous airborne geophysical surveys, Longbow is a mission-adaptable, NDAA-compliant VTOL system built to operate in contested, austere, and high-wind environments. Designed with open, modular architecture, Longbow enables rapid integration of multiple optics, electronic warfare, sensing, and command-and-control capabilities, supporting scalable employment across diverse operational missions.
Engineered for rapid reconfiguration and seamless integration, Longbow’s payload and communications architecture supports multi-sensor fusion, autonomous processing, and resilient networking enabling operators to adapt quickly to evolving operational requirements in contested environments.
“Vector's Longbow platform receiving both Green UAS Cleared and Blue UAS Cleared certification validates the discipline and rigor our team brings to doing things the right way,” said Andy Yakulis, CEO of Vector. “Our systems are built at scale with one customer in mind, the Department of War. We’re proud to contribute to the growing drone industrial base, producing next-generation technology, free from adversarial supply chains, and made with the warfighter at front of mind.”
The platform integrates agnostically with MANET, mesh networks, Starlink, and TAK supporting distributed operations, edge-enabled decision-making, and reliable data sharing across joint and coalition forces. With a demonstrated track record across government and allied missions, Vector’s Longbow is a fielded system, with proven operations in complex terrain, maritime environments, and communications-denied conditions.
Today, the system is actively employed for ISR, SIGINT/ELINT, spectrum, and magnetometry operations, with many of these advanced payload capabilities developed in close partnership with Overhead Intelligence, supporting a wide range of government agencies with reliable, mission-ready capability.
With validated production, sustainment, and integration processes Longbow is positioned for near-term fielding and long-term scalability, delivering dependable capability from prototype through operational deployment. In an environment of increased oversight and accountability, Vector has demonstrated the maturity, discipline, and operational credibility required to meet the Department of War’s most demanding standards.
From supply chain security and compliance to modular payload integration and operational validation, Longbow reflects Vector’s commitment to delivering resilient, trusted, and adaptable systems for today’s most demanding missions.
